Privacy notice
This site collects as little as it can. This notice sets out what it collects, why, who sees it and how long it's kept.
In short
- In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies load only if you accept them. Elsewhere they're on, and you can turn them off at any time from "Cookie and privacy choices" at the bottom of every page.
- If you fill in the referral form, I keep what you send so I can reply. I pass details to micro1 only if you agree.
- When you follow one of my links to micro1, I count the click. I don't record your IP address.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold at any time.
Who I am
This site is run by Sean Key through PRAG-DEL-SOL-ONE LTD, trading as Applied Clinical Judgement. The company is registered in England and Wales (company no. 07204925), with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. It is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration no. ZC086000.
For anything about your personal data, email [email protected].
The referral form
What I collect: what you type into the form. That's your name, work email, role, company name and website, country, number of employees, sector, the systems and documents you tick, which option interests you, who would approve it, and any notes. The form also records which page of this site you came from.
Why: to check whether your company fits micro1's Company Data Partnerships program, to reply to you, and, if you agree, to introduce your company to micro1. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form, and my legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you sent.
Where it goes: your answers are saved on this site's server and emailed to my business mailbox. Nothing is passed to micro1 unless you tell me to go ahead.
How long: up to 24 months after we were last in touch, then deleted. Entries on the server are removed automatically after 24 months. If you ask me to delete your details sooner, I will.
If I introduce you to micro1
With your agreement, I share your name, work email and company name with micro1, along with anything else you ask me to pass on. micro1 then handles your application under its own privacy policy, and anything you share with micro1 directly is between you and micro1.
micro1 may pay me a referral fee if your company signs up. I don't sell or rent your details to anyone.
Links to micro1 from this site
Links that start a micro1 application go through this site first (an address beginning /go/), so micro1 knows I introduced you and so I can count how many people use them.
What's recorded for each click: the time, which link it was, your country (worked out by Cloudflare from your connection), the page you came from and your browser type. Your IP address isn't recorded. I use this to see which pages help people. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running the site.
How long: up to 24 months, then deleted automatically.
Visiting the site
Like almost every website, the server keeps a standard log of requests, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure. Those logs are deleted after 14 days.
The site sits behind Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and delivers pages quickly. Cloudflare processes your IP address to do that.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and measures how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites or build a profile of you: it records the page, where the visit came from, your browser, device type and country, and how long the page took to load. I use it to see how many people visit and which pages help them.
The site's fonts and images are served from its own server.
Cookies, analytics and advertising tags
I use analytics to see how many people visit and which pages help them, and advertising tags to measure whether my adverts on Microsoft, Reddit, LinkedIn and Facebook bring people to the site. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and send information about your visit (pages viewed, the device and browser you use, roughly where you are, and the advert you came from) to the company that runs each one.
If you're in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, none of these load until you choose. The banner offers "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Choose", and rejecting is as easy as accepting. The legal basis is your consent.
If you're anywhere else, analytics and advertising tags are on when you arrive. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, advertising tags stay off automatically. You can switch either off at any time.
Changing your mind: use "Cookie and privacy choices" at the bottom of any page. Your choice is remembered in your browser for 6 months, then you're asked again.
| Tool | Purpose | Main cookies and how long they last |
|---|---|---|
| This site | Remembers your cookie choice (strictly necessary) | wd_consent, stored in your browser, 6 months |
| Cloudflare | Tells people from bots (strictly necessary) | __cf_bm, 30 minutes |
| Google Analytics | Analytics | _ga and _ga_*, up to 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity | Analytics, including recordings of how pages are used, with form entries masked | _clck, 1 year; _clsk, 1 day |
| Microsoft Advertising | Advertising measurement | _uetsid, 1 day; _uetvid, 13 months; MUID, 1 year |
| Advertising measurement | _rdt_uuid, 90 days | |
| Advertising measurement | li_fat_id, 30 days, plus LinkedIn's own cookies | |
| Meta (Facebook) | Advertising measurement | _fbp, 90 days |
Cookie names and durations are set by each company and can change. Tag Manager, which loads these tools, sets no cookies of its own.
Videos
Some pages show YouTube videos, from micro1's channel and from news channels. Until you press play, you see only a still image served from this site, and nothing loads from YouTube. Pressing play loads the video from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, and Google's privacy policy applies to that viewing.
Booking a call
"Book a call" links go to Calendly, which collects your name, email and anything you add to the booking. Calendly handles that under its own privacy policy. I use the details only to hold the call and follow up on it.
Who processes data for me

| Microsoft | Clarity analytics and advertising measurement (with your consent where required) | US |
| Reddit, LinkedIn, Meta | Advertising measurement (with your consent where required) | US and Ireland |

Where a service handles data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK's international data transfer agreement.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how I use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; that doesn't affect anything done before. Email [email protected] and I'll reply within one month.
If you're in the US: I don't sell your personal information for money. The advertising tags described above may count as "sharing" for advertising under some state laws. You can opt out from "Cookie and privacy choices" at the bottom of any page, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is treated as an opt-out. I'll handle access and deletion requests the same way wherever you live.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please tell me first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab).
